Introduction
Industrialization was a major impacting factor on world war 1, and the weapons used. The mass production of products, using the assembly line, allowed many new weapons to be made quickly. The railroads from the industrial revolution period allowed these weapons to be transported to the battlefields and trenches, as well as other resources. The Bessemer process was also very important because many of the new weapons created during this time were made out of metals such as steel. With this increased availability of steel, more weapons could be made with better quality. This also advanced technological research significantly. When new weapons arrived, more were being innovated upon which brought great use to airplanes, grenades, and poison gas. Every country was caught in a race to get technological advantage on the enemy countries. Stalemates were met many times because the weapons that countries had were relatively equal. This caused many grueling wars of attritions.
